  Decent place to eat. Good brownies for desert and good chili oil (hot). Has been around since ive moved here 14 years ago.

  Went for our date night dinner and decided to try the infamous buffet at the Big Rock Inn as per the Amazing reviews we've read on here. All in All the food was pretty good. It wasn't horrible. But, the Gingerbeef and Sweet and Sour pork wasn't consistent. Some pieces were great. And, others were so Hard and impossible to chew. Sauce was real tasty tho. The Lemon chicken was Delicious tho. Most of the dry ribs were good but had lots of fatty pieces throughout. And, the Gaint prawns and Tempura Shrimp were NOT deveined which were pretty gross. Turned my stomach and basically ruined my appetite. The desserts however were all delicious. I don't know why everyone says it's so cheap. Found it fairly expensive for 2 buffet dinners and 2 glasses of Coka-cola. Probably wouldn't go back to spend $53. Wasn't that great.

  I've enjoyed Big Rock repeatedly over the years; they continue to provide excellent Chinese cuisine in traditional western Canadian style. For fast service, I call ahead for pick up and it is often ready within the 1/2 hour. Try their ginger beef... you'll not regret it.
